Pakistan vs. India 2023 World Cup: Pakistan Under Pressure | Latest Update

One of the most awaited matches of the World Cup, Pakistan vs. of India, started in the world's largest cricket stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, won the toss and chose to field first.



Pakistan's Score:

Pakistan took the first wicket, scoring 191 in 42.5 overs against India.

Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafiq opened their meetings. Both got off to a steady start and put 41 runs on the board. Mohammad Siraj then made the breakthrough by dismissing Abdullah Shafique, who scored just 20 points.

Imam looked good as he scored 36 points but eventually went out. Hardik Pandya took the wicket of Imam when Pakistan were on 73 runs.

3rd Wicket Partnership:

After this, captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan built a partnership for 82 runs. Babar scored his 29th ODI fifty but got out just after reaching 50 runs and fell victim to an unplayable delivery from Mohammad Siraj.



After Babar's dismissal, Pakistan suffered a major slump, going from 155-2 to 191 runs. Rizwan scored a steady 49 runs and no other batsman could stay on the field long enough to score.

On the other hand, India bowled brilliantly with Jadeja, Bumrah, Siraj, Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav taking 2 wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah was extremely economical for India, posting figures of 19-2 in his seven overs.
